Wilson H. Bevan 79 of Elco died Thursday July 19, 2014 at Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Born January 16, 1935 in Brownsville a son of Wilson and Laura Johns Bevan. Mr. Bevan was retired from the United States Airforce and served during the Vietnam War and attaining the rank of TSGT. He is a member of Roscoe Presbyterian Church, Roscoe American Legion Post #801 and Allenport Rod & Gun Club. Mr. Bevan is survived by his wife Jessie Martina, 2 sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Grace Bevan of East Huntingdon and Richard and Toni Bevan of Allenport, a daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Jim Campbell of Dunbar, a brother James Bevan of Harrisburg and Larry Bevan of West Alexander, one sister, Ardith Wheaton of Monessen, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 infant sons Patrick Wilson Bevan and Wilson Patrick Bevan. Visitation will be held on Friday July 18, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave. Roscoe, where funeral services will be held on Saturday July 19 at 10:00 am with Rev. Candace Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Howe Cemetery, Coal Center. Full military honors will be accorded by the 911th Air Wing. The family suggests memorial be made to Roscoe Presbyterian Church.
