In loving memory of Wanda Lee Gauden McGarry, 63, of Summit Township, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Elijah T. Gauden of Roscoe, and the late Margaret E. Bell Gauden. She attended California Area High School and graduated from The Douglas School of Business in Monessen. She was employed at Alpine Manor Nursing Home and finished her career at Western Reserve Nursing Home, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Summit United Methodist and also The Roscoe United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Patient Activity Coordinator and was president for one year at the local chapter. Family was very important to Wanda and she encouraged people through life with her spiritual influence. She enjoyed cooking, canning and enjoyed being a happy homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert "Bob" B. McGarry; two sons, Robert Michael McGarry of Erie and Shawn McGarry (Mae) of Summit Township; one daughter, Pamela Jean of Summit Township; five sisters, Debra Palfrey (John) of Elkton, Md., Bonnie Hotz (Bill) of Brick, N.J., Janet Cox (Wayne) of Elco, Pa., Bridget Gauden of Roscoe, Denise Fink (Jerry) of South Park, Pa.; three brothers, Samuel Gauden of South Euclid, Ohio, Gary Gauden of Roscoe, James Gauden of Roscoe; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey and Michael McGarry, Courtney and Jeremy Keenen and Caitlyn and Liam McGarry; three great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Eddy McGarry Genest of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister and brother-in-law, Cecelia and Richard Kirik of North East, Pa.;and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carrie Ann. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the MELENYZER-DUBARR FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Page officiating. Interment will follow at Howe Cemetery.
