Thomas J. Simala

Thomas J. Simala 84 of Stockdale, died Wednesday July 4, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital. Born in Stockdale on February 8, 1934 a son of Karol and Mary Palenta Simala. Thomas was retired from the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Allenport Plant. He was a lifetime member of Stockdale Volunteer Fire Dept #17., loved the outdoors and the Pittsburgh sports teams. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family as well. Surviving are 4 daughters; Brenda (John) Trettle of Stockdale, Ronda Stephens of Coburn, CO, Trisha (James) Shipley of Allenport and Cari (Doug) Simpson of Roscoe, a grandson Justin Taylor and 2 sisters; Cecelia "Sis" (Jay) Clark of N. Charleroi and Kay (Rocco Gene) Malarbi of Monessen. He was preceded in death by his wife Barb Simala and 5 brothers; Paul "Butch", James, Charles, Joseph and John Simala and 3 sisters; Ann Krilosky, Caroline Terrana and Mary Slusarcyk. Private services and burial was held on Friday at Howe Cemetery.
