Sylvia Murray Seydor, 83, of Stockdale, surrounded by her loving family, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 11, 2012, in UPMC Mercy Hospital. Born June 10, 1928, in Newburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Margaret G. Beal Murray. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sylvia loved to sew and read, and enjoyed taking care of her flowers. She was a very giving and caring person; she was a community caregiver. Left to cherish the countless memories are two daughters and sons-in-law, S. Elaine and Joseph McGaughey, of Charleroi, and Rebecca "Becky" and Matthew Sezawich, of Stockdale; grandchildren, Joseph, Samuel and Russell Weaver, Deanne Caruso, Erin Younkin and Jennifer Smith; great-grandchildren, Lanie and Logan Jacobs, Cameron Smith, and Mackenzie and Kaitlyn Weaver; sisters, Minnie Gray, of Ashley, Mich., Margaret "Peg" Lebhaft, of Meadville, Shirley Kubicar, of Richeyville, and Ruth Davison, of Bradenton, Fla.; brothers, Robert Murray, of Lakeland, Fla., and Samuel Murray, of Pontiac, Mich.; special friend, Vonna Vincentich; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Seydor, on March 2, 2002; a son, Russell "Butch" Weaver, on Jan. 28, 1996; brothers, Earl and William Murray; and a sister, Marilyn "Ann" Zirkle. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 15, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mel Hileman and Rev. Dave Benner co-officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mel Hileman Ministries, P.O.
