Robert Garrett

Robert Garrett 98 of Elco died Friday June 12, 2015 at Mon Valley Care Center. Born in Imperial on August 27, 1916 a son of William and Clara Garrett. Mr. Garret was retired from Vesta 5 Mine and the California Area School District where he worked in maintenence. A member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church and the UMWA. Mr. Garrett was also Tax Collector for Elco for over 30 years. He is survived by 2 daughters Connie McVey of Belle Vernon and Linda and her husband Nick Ciappa of Roscoe, 2 grandchildren Robert and Michell Ferguson of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Gary Ferguson of Downington, PA, great-granchildren Thomas Ferguson, Robert Ferguson and Samantha and Cody Mitchell, great-greatgrandchild Benjemin Mitchell. Preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Donaldson Garrett on November 22, 2002, a grandson Thomas (Fuzzy) Ferguson, a great grandson Mitchell Ferguson, a sister Iris Lewis and 2 brothers William and Cal Garrett. Visitation will be held on Monday June 15, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday June 16 at 1:00pm with Rev. Sandra Conti officiating. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Long Branch
