Richard E. Welch

Richard Eugene Welch, 49, of Charleroi, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was the son of Raymond Welch Sr. and the late Zoanna Coyle. Richard was born in Charleroi on February 25, 1959, and was a member of Gospel Alliance Church. In addition to his father and step-mother, Shirley Welch, he is survived by his wife, Carol Pager Welch; one son, Robert Welch and fiancee, Crystal Chalfant; one daughter, Lisa Welch and fiance, Phillip Martin; two sisters, Ruth Lytle and Robin Hanna; one brother, Ralph Welch; three grandchildren, Robert Welch Jr., Caden Jackson and Shayla Johnson; one step-brother, Kenyon Titus; four step-sisters, Kimberly Masunas, Maryetta Clark, Wanda Forbes and Ceceila Williamson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Welch Jr. and Robert Welch; and one step-sister, Michelle Pennington. Friends will be received in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., Charleroi, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, sympathy contributions may be made to the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes Inc. in memory of Richard Welch. Interment will be private.
