Patricia Ann Zielensky, 75, of Elco, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. Born in Elco on October 12, 1932, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Gabrik Sapko. Patricia was the proprietor of Zielensky Tavern for over 30 years and a life member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Roscoe, where she was an active member with the ladies' organizations. The loving wife of Chester Zielensky Sr., who passed away July 24, 1992, she also was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren: Debra (Edgar) Harris, and Chester "Butch" (LaDonna) Zielensky, all of Carmichaels, Janis Zielensky and Tony, and Sandra Zielensky and Jim, all of Elco, Teresa (Earl) Doman, of Long Branch, and Donna Dunay, of Wickhaven; nine grandchildren, Eric Harris, John, Justin and Jeremy Zielensky, Lucille, Katey and Elizabeth Doman, and Thomas and Matthew Dunay. She is also survived by one brother, John (Judy) Sapko, of Missouri; a very special friend; Bernard Kirby, of Stroll Acres; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth "Bunny" Sapko, of New Stanton, and Lori Sapko, of the state of California. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Richard Sapko. Friends will be received Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., Roscoe (724-938- 9323), where a blessing service will be held Saturday, March 15, at 8:30 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church, Roscoe. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center.
