Patricia "Patty" Garrick

After a courageous three-year battle with cancer, Patricia L. "Patty" Lambert Garrick, 67, of Monessen, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born March 23, 1945, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of Loretta Evans Lambert of Charleroi, and the late Robert Lambert Sr. For many years Patty worked in the deli at the Shop 'n Save, Giant Eagle and Sparkle in Charleroi. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Melvin Garrick; daughters, Kellie Farquhar of Stockdale, and Carrie Gaidos and husband, Bill, of Roscoe; grandsons, Steven Kurty, and Brett and Jacob Farquhar; sister, Bonnie Lambert Bailey of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Lambert Jr., and a grandson, Michael Keegan. Friends will be received Sunday, March 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where a funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. with Pastor Brian Carroll of the Roscoe United Methodist Church presiding.
