Patricia A. Dzimiera

d. April 30, 2012

Patricia A. "Nan" Dzimiera, 73, of Roscoe, surrounded by her loving family and friends, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2012, at her home. Born March 27, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Dolores Boyd Mizwa. A resident of Roscoe for the past 2 years, Pat lived most of her life in Donora and, until her illness, worked in the Housekeeping Department at Mon Valley Hospital. Pat loved to play cards with her card club friends on Thursday's at Barb's place or going to the Meadows Casino. She looked forward to her yearly vacation at Wildwood, NJ with her family, but most of all loved to have a house full of family and friends even when she didn't feel well; this brought her much happiness. She is survived by 5 loving children of whom she loved unconditionally and who made her so proud to be their mom. Survivors include three daughters, Luann and husband Robert, of Finleyville, Pattylynn and fiancAC. Doug, of Belle Vernon, and Tracy Jo and husband Robert, of Roscoe; two sons, Louis and wife Debra, of Perryopolis, and Charles and wife Sherri, of Donora; 7 grandchildren, Robert and wife Kimberly, Nicole and fiancAC. Hram, Marcus and wife Amanda, Louis Anthony, Amber, Tylar and Jonathan; and three great-grandchildren, Robert, Christian and Marissa. Pat wanted to thank all of her family and many dear friends who kept her spirits up during her courageous fight with cancer. She never gave up; she fought to the end. A special thank you to the 7th floor nurses, doctors, and staff at Mon Valley Hospital and to Amedisys Hospice, who gave her much encouragement and comfort. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her and will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving and caring husband of 40 years, Joseph "Diz" Dzimiera, on Jan. 19, 2005. At Pat's request, there will be no visitation or funeral, but asks that all her family, friends and acquaintances call or go and visit a sick friend. The joy you will bring to that person is the joy she felt the last 6 months of her life. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave, Roscoe.
