Norma Cox, 89, of North Huntingdon and formerly of Elco, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, in Golden Heights Personal Care Home. A daughter of the late Elias and Elizabeth Abraham Namie, she was born Jan. 27, 1924, in Monongahela. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church where she taught the Primary Sunday School class for over 50 years and attended the Adult Fellowship class. She was also a past recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award presented by the Elco Civic Club. Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Worley and husband, James; sons, Dennis Cox and wife, Carol, and Dale Cox and wife, Patti; grandchildren, Jamie Worley and wife, Kerri, Daniel Worley and wife, Jennifer, Heather Gunari and husband, Jason, Jason Cox and wife, Megan, Jeremy Cox and wife, Jennifer, Kelley Hatcher and husband, Marquel, and Jonathan Cox and wife, Katie; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Cox Jr. on Nov. 24, 2011; granddaughter, Heidi Worley; brothers, Norman A. Namie and Norman "Hub" Namie; and sisters, Sadie Piscitelli and Mary Havelin. Visitation will be Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, with Pastors Mark Edwards and Bob Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
