Mary Matz

Mary Matz, 94, formerly of Allenport, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007. She was born July 20, 1913, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late Andrew and Eva Shaika Matz. She was a member of the Roscoe American Legion Auxiliary, Post 801. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Charles Brown, of Ohio; Candace Matz Bernier, care giver, of Bentleyville; and other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Andrew and Nicholas Matz; and one sister-in-law, Marie Matz. Friends will be received in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., Roscoe (724-938-9323), on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 3 to 5 p.m., the hour of service, in the funeral home.
