Lorna Gail Mische Morgan, 65, of Roscoe, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 29, 1943, in North Charleroi, a daughter of the late Albert Mische and Bessie Jane Stark Flaherty. She was a former member and Past Grand Worthy Matron and Past District Deputy Grand Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and Roscoe American Legion Auxiliary, Post 801. Lorna was a retired licensed practical nurse from Manor Care, where she also served as president of the Residence Council. Survivors include four children: Geri Lee (John) Hoak, of Long Branch, James William Morgan III, of Roscoe, Lori (David) Grootwassink, of Clearwater, Fla., and Russell (Bobbi Jo) Morgan, of Monessen; eight grandchildren: Lt. Steven Hoak, Malori Hoak, James William Morgan IV, Stacia, Chloe and Melayna Morgan, Cadence and Delaney Grootwassink; two brothers: Fred Mische, of Charleroi, and Walter Mische, of Elco; seven sisters: Debra Stein, of Allenport, Judi Burkett, of Buford, Ga., Tina King, of Louisville, Ky., Penny Kent, of Roscoe, Lena Flaherty, of Elco, and Anita O'Conner and Lisa Rooney, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends will be received Friday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., Roscoe, with the Rev. John Custer officiating. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery.
