I was two years older than Larry in high school, We both played on the same Cougar baseball team. I worked at Allenport Steel Mill sometimes with Larry. We remained friends over the years. i played softball against Larry on different teams and went to Myrtle Beach golfing with the Stockdale boys. Jim Colditz, Curt Geo, and many other guys that I consider good friends of mine. Larry was a quiet, fierce competitor no matter what sport he played. and he was always one of the best. He was a man of few words and I really enjoyed talking to him esp .golfing with him. I consider him a really good friend but over the years the only time I saw him was at the Meadows where we struck up a brief conversation on occasions. i could not attend the viewing because my wife on Thursday has an appt. at the Hillman Cancer Center as she is battling MDS. In this time of Covid our family needs to be extra careful being compromised with my wife's health. We seldom venture out. We are also taking care of my step father- in- law who is 86 and has dementia since my mother- in- law passed away from Covid in an assisted nursing facility 2 months ago. He cannot be left alone. I understand your family's loss and I'm sorry that I couldn't attend his funeral. I will always remember Larry and his family has my deepest condolences. Denny Kline
