Johanne Sweitzer Hughes

Johanne Sweitzer Hughes 67 of Fallowfield Twp., died unexpectedly on Tuesday December 22, 2015 at Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Charleroi on June 14, 1948 a daughter of John and Anne Sweitzer.Johanne had worked for 20 yrs at the former Montgomery Wards in Charleroi. She was a member of the California American Legion Auxillary Post #377. Surviving are her husband Stanley Hughes Jr., a brother John Sweitzer of Bridgeville, stepdaughters Ruth and James Bakosh of Farmington, Julie Parker and Joe Labaska of Delta Junction, AK, and Robin and Tom Rice of Brownsville, a stepson Stan and Amy Hughes of N. Charleroi, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday December 28, 2015 from 9am-12:30 pm at the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc, 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi where funeral services will be held at 12:30pm with Rev. Sandi Conti officiating. Burial will be private.
