Jack P. Nedley

Jack P. Nedley, 61, of Charleroi, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013. The son of Wayne and Margaret Cleaver Nedley, he was born Aug. 4, 1951, in Salem, N.J. Mr. Nedley honorably served his country in the United States Navy, where he retired as a Jet Engine Mechanic Supervisor. He was a member of the West Brownsville American Legion, Post 940, loved to watch his beloved Steelers play and enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nedley is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Denise S. Williams Nedley; daughters, Diane Choate, of Memphis, Tenn., and Amanda Kay Nedley of Pittsburgh; son, Robert Nedley of Monessen; stepchildren, Heidi Thrasher of Fort Pierce, Fla.,Christopher Plumley of Belle Vernon, Eric Gonzales of Washington, Pa.; 10 grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Debra Bacon of Salem, N.J., and Lisa Nedley of Waynesburg; brothers, Frank Stevenson of Semora, N.C., James Nedley, of Ocala, Fla., Timothy Raytek of Perkasie, Pa., and Christopher Dupree of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Raytek; and sister, Helen Ferrara. Friends will be received Wednesday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the hour of service, in the MELENYZER-DuBARR FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Interment will be at the family's convenience.

Jack and I became friends while working the second shift at an aircraft parts manufacture Stuart FL. We had a million laughs working together. He was an old school leader, wise and full of life's knowledge. My condolence to everyone.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jack since 1975. We lost contact when I moved to Md. I am sad to hear of his passing. He was great to be around, as I have fond memories.

Please accept my my sincere sympathy for your loss - I have many wonderful memories of Jack & your family in our little town of Centerville & in our youth church group. My Jesus give you comfort at this time of loss & in knowing we will be spending eternity together.
