Helen Marge Farquhar

Helen Marge Farquhar 74 of Allenport, died Tuesday January 19, 2015 at Mon Valley Care Center. Born in N. Charleroi on July 11, 1941 a daughter of John and Margaret Mahalic Bielawski. Marge was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Roscoe, a past president and member of St. Joseph's Ladies Guild for many years. For 20 years Marge served as head of the kitchen committee at St. Joseph's. She is survived by her husband Merle Farquhar, 2 sons and daughters-in-law Charles and Colleen Rotheram of Stockdale, Robert and Judy Rotheram of North Olmsted, Ohio and a daughter and son-in-law Joanne and Joseph Matzel of Sidney, NY, a brother John Bielawski of Roscoe and a sister Barbara Qupec of Erie, 9 grandchildren, Laura, Matthew, Jeffrey and Brian of North Olmsted, OH, Charles (CJ) and Cassandra of Stockdale, Krista, Joey and Samantha of Sidney, NY and serveral cousins. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Rotheram. Visitation will be held on Friday January 22, 2015 from 6-8pm at the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. Roscoe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 23 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church Roscoe. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center.


Sorry for your loss. May y'all find some sort of comfort in your time of need. Praying for y'all. I will miss being there Wed an Fri taking care of her, watching Family Feud and just chatting. May she rest easy now.

My Deepest sympathy to all of the family. Marge was such a dear friend to me when I started as Secretary at St. Joseph. She had so much love in her heart, not only for the people around her but for God and the church. Rest in Peace Marge, You have earned it.
