Helen M. Davis

Surrounded by her loving family, Helen M. Davis, 91, of Roscoe, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2013. Born in Roscoe on May 23, 1922, she was a daughter of the late George and Susie Hribik Rovny. Helen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 801 Auxiliary, both in Roscoe. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Kenneth Davis and wife, Sandra, of Fredericksburg, VA, Bill Davis and wife, Evelyn, of New Market, MD, and Michael Davis and Sharon Boyer, of Lusby, MD; six grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Hench" Davis; sisters, Mildred Rovny, Mary Cairns and Annie Shurzinske; and brothers, George Rovny Jr., John "Ditto" Rovny and Joseph Rovny. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where a blessing service will be held at 8 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
