Emily Coven Gazi Dietz 80 of Roscoe earned her angel wings after a decade long battle with heart disease on October 17, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She took her last breath with her sons holding her hands. Born on September 15, 1935 in the family home in Granville, PA, a daughter of Gustave and Lula Mae Rowe Coven. Emily was Methodist. She loved to cook and bake and made the best apple pies and chocolate gobs. Emily enjoyed bingo and loved playing euchre. She is survived by the most fortunate kids in the world, Richard Gazi with whom she made her home, John Gazi of Stockdale, Marcia (David) Major of Port Allegany, Michael (Janet) Gazi of Ellsworth and Duane (Rashgene) Gazi-White of Hoboken, NJ, granddaughters Cristy (Faron) Culp and Ashley Culp of Roscoe, Nicole (Jason) Drost and her children Natalina and Marco of Florida, grandsons Brady Major of Port Allegany, Mario Brova of Ellsworth and mum mum's great granddaughter Beth Ann Culp. A brother Lloyd Coven of Albion, PA, a sister Evelyn Coatsworth of Roscoe and the children and grandchildren of Emily's late husband Martin "Mutt" Dietz who died on September 28, 2014. She loved his children as much as her own. Besides her husband she is preceded in death by 2 brothers Earl and Frank Coven, and 5 sisters, Alexis McGarry, Shirley McLaren, Mildred Collette and Edith Coven. Emily's family would like to thank Dr. Chauhan and his entire staff for trying so hard to keep her here with them. Her nurses Luann Mc Kinley and Georgia Trussell who both became dear friends to her and finally Shannon Shaw Hutter who loved and treasured her as much as we did and who made mom smile with every visit. Visitation will be held on Tuesday Ocotober 20, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe. Interment will be private.
