Elmer Leo Steele

Elmer Leo Steele 97 of Roscoe, died Sunday March 23, 2014 at Mon Valley Hospital. Born August 21, 1916 in Jacobsburg, Ohio, a son of Walter Scott and Olive Edith Wells Steele. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Steele was retired from the former Page's Steel Mill in Monessen. He was a WWII US Army Veteran. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law Terry and Joyce Steele of Roscoe, 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Sherryl Wall of Roscoe and Sheila and Jim Sneith of Eighty-Four, 9 grandchildren, Joyce, Shelly, Paul, Aimee, Michael, Joy, Misty, Jayme and Dylon, also 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Helen L. Winters Steele in 2002 and son-in-law Roger Steele. There will be no public visitation. Internment will be held on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
