Elizabeth Ann Legeza DuBart of Pompano Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, after a brief illness at Holly Cross Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., surrounded by her loving family. Born Sept. 15, 1923, in Elco, the daughter of Michael Anna Legeza. On July 26, 1947, in the Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church Charleroi, she was united in marriage to Alexander Anthony DuBart. They resided in Bentleyville and Charleroi. She is survived by daughter, Joyce Elaine Beck of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; grandsons, James Alexander Beck (Lori) of McMurry; Michael Jeffery Beck (Tatiane) of Boca Raton, Fla.; sister, Helen Houston (Bob) of Elco; brother, Coleman Legeza (Sheri) of Bristol, Tenn.; and soon to be born great-granddaughter, Leha Elizabeth in February 2014; nieces, Cheryl Boda (Ken) of Charleroi, Cindy Hayes (Jerry) of McDonald; nephews, Robert Houston (Janet) of Elco, Scott Metro Shuback (Stacy) of Charleroi; and several great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband, Alexander Anthony; sons, David Anthony and Jeffery Linn; and sister, Agnes (Metro) Shuback of Van Voohris. Elizabeth was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Luke Church, Bentleyville, St. Ambrose Church of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and American Legion Auxiliary of Deerfield Beach, Fla. She was Assistant Brownie Troop Leader No. 5, Bentleyville, and a volunteer at Holy Cross Hospital Women's Auxiliary, North Broward Hospital Women's Auxiliary and The American Red Cross. Libby was fondly known in Pompano Beach as the Cruise Queen of Pompano having been on 40 cruises throughout the Caribbean, South America and Hawaii. She was booked to sail on the New Royal Princess to celebrate her 90th birthday. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at the MELENYZER-DuBARR FUNERAL HOME, 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
