Along with cooking, she enjoyed helping her community by delivering Meals-on-Wheels and also being a former Cub Scout and Girl Scout troop leader. Her greatest passion though was knitting; she has knitted numerous blankets and Pittsburgh Steelers memorabilia for her family and friends. If you ever met Edie, she probably gave you an angel pin which she was very well-known for doing. She is also survived by two very close friends, Scharma Schaffer and Debbie Shutterly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Richards, on April 18, 1993; daughter, Sandra Richards Thompson; and her sister-in-law, Maude Matianski. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Inc., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, where a funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. with Pastor Ross Pryor officiating. Glenn and family. I saw Eddy a few weeks ago at the home. She will always hold a dear and special place in my heart. She never stopped spreading the Word to all who would listen. Her love for her family and brothers and sisters in Christ was only exceeded by her love for her savior Jesus Christ. She is now resting in His arms.

May the good Lord watch over you and your family in this saddest of times. May you find peace in knowing that Your Mother is finally "Home". May all the good memories flood in and give you smiles. On one of our visits to see Aunt Edie, she said she really missed Salmon Croquets. So on my next visit I brought her 6 small Croquets and watermelon. Her eyes lit up with such delight and made sure I left the few she did not eat along with the watermelon. She had so many wonderful stories to share, she will be truly missed. Always in our thoughts, hearts and prayers, Leslie Marie, Gene Fenner and Family
