Dorothy Mills

Dorothy G. Mills, 91, of Stroall Acres, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2011, in Adult Assisted Living in Dunlevy. Born October 18, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Grace Metcalf Garrison. Mrs. Mills was a member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Eastern Star. She was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed watching golf on television. She is survived by a sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mills is preceded in death by her husband, George Kepler "Chub" Mills, who passed away on Nov. 9, 1997, three sisters and one brother. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Dr. Paul Spence of The Independent Mission presiding. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
