Donna L. Coulson

Donna Dowler Coulson, 64, of Speers, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at her home. A daughter of the late James R. and Mary King Dowler, she was born May 15, 1948, in Elco. A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley, she worked at the former Jobes Drugstore in Roscoe, the Brookvale Clothing Factory in Monessen and as a waitress at Tim's Restaurant in Elco. Donna was a very active and dedicated member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church, and was known for her compassion towards others; she always thought of others before herself. She looked forward to their annual family vacations to Cedar Point and Lake Erie. More recently, one of her favorite things to do was to cut the grass on her riding lawnmower. Left to cherish the many memories of Donna are her loving husband of 36 years, Donald Coulson, of Speers; a son, Don Coulson, Jr. and girlfriend, Lisa Stark, of Cranberry Twp.; grandson, Kraig Coulson; brothers, Dr. James Dowler, of Elco; and Dennis Dowler and wife, Darlene, of Roscoe; niece, Emily Dowler; and brothers-in-law, Dale Robert Coulson and wife, Donna, of Wilmington, Del., David Coulson and wife, Mary Ann, of Fayette City, and Dean Coulson and wife, Lori, of Fallowfield Township. Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 11, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Melenyzer-DuBarr Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe, and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, in the Roscoe United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brian Carroll presiding. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
