Christopher M. Sekora

Christopher M. Sekora 46 of Monongahela passed away on Saturday July 6, 2024 at his childhood home surrounded by his family. Born in N. Charleroi on Janurary 28, 1978, he was the son of Robert and Janice Evans Sekora of Fallowfield Township. 

Chris was a foreman at the Water Treatment Plant of the Charleroi Water Authority. He had received the award of Water Operator of the Year by the Pennsylvania Rural Water Association in 2020. He was a member of the Valley Inn Sportsman’s Club and the NRA. Chris was an avid outdoors man. He made several hunting trips to Nebraska, New Mexico and Colorado. Chris was also a motocross enthusiast and had raced locally for several years. 

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother Daniel (Kristi) Sekora of Chartiers Twp., a nephew and niece; Myles and Delaney Sekora, a Goddaughter Hunter Nogy, great-aunt Dolores Sekora of Fayette City, maternal uncle and aunt; James and Sharon Evans of Fallowfield Twp., maternal aunt Nancy Swingle of Texas, and cousins Michele Holbrook of DeWitt, Michigan, Michael Evans of Bethel Park, and Jodi Miller, Sam Swingle and Jeff Chambers all of Texas. 

Chris was preceded in death by his uncle Shawn Sekora and grandparents; John and Mary Sekora and Fred and Emma Evans.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday July 11 at 10am. Interment will follow at Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela.
