Carol Layne Ghenne

Carol Layne Ghenne 83 of Allenport passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2025 at Mon Valley Care Center with her family by her side. She was born in North Charleroi on October 8, 1941, a daughter of Robert and Edith Biles Pritchard.

Carol enjoyed dining out often, especially at her favorite place, The Olive Garden. She loved watching the humming birds around her home, and enjoyed cooking and baking especially at Thanksgiving when she had her whole family at her home.

On August 29, 1959 she married the love of her life, Joseph Ghenne. They would have celebrated 66 years of marriage this year.

Besides her husband she is survived by her loving daughters; Luann (Ed) Wentzell of California, PA, and Lisa Dochinez of Long Branch, her beautiful granddaughters; Erin (Vince) Dentino, Cara Workman and Macey (Caleb) Norris, and 2 great-granddaughters; Evie Dentino and Aria Workman.

The family would like to thank the care center and OSPTA teams for their care and support.

Per Carol’s wishes, there will be no public visitation and only a private memorial.
