Carl D. Graf

Carl D. Graf, 37, of North Charleroi, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 1, 2008. The son of August Jr. and Evelyn Masters Graf, he was a dedicated and well liked coach for CFD Youth Soccer, an avid bowler, and loved racing his dirt bike. His enthusiasm for dirt bike racing is apparent with the numerous trophies he has received. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was currently employed by Maronda Homes in Monessen in the shipping and receiving department. In addition to his parents, Carl leaves behind a wife, Heather Larue Graf; a son, Dakota; daughter, Sabrina; a sister, Cathy Caranci and husband Donald, of Connecticut; step-son, Michael Heckathorn; and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Graf. Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi (724-483-2231), where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 7, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
