Beverly B. Robbins

After a lengthy illness, Beverly B. Robbins, 91, of Roscoe, passed away peacefully in Southwest Nursing Center on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. A daughter of the late William and Ethel McCrory Swaney, she was born on April 13, 1919, in Vesta, PA. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 801 Auxiliary, both in Roscoe. Beverly is survived by a son, Arthur B. Carney, of Roscoe. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Norman; three brothers, William, Charles, and Louis Swaney; and one sister, Elizabeth Swaney. Friends will be received Thursday, March 10, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MELENYZER-DuBARR FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on TUESDAY, MARCH 15. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
