Anastasia Ehko, 85, of Carroll Township, died peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2008. She was born February 6, 1922, in Charleroi, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Madzey Ruschak. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Charleroi and a former member of the ladies auxiliary and church choir. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who loved to read and sing. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Edward John Ehko; three children, Carole Mack and husband, Bob, of North Versailles, Edward Ehko Jr. and wife, Linda, of Bedford, and Gayle Hamilton and husband, Mark, of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Brad Sigut and wife, Karilynn, Amy Ervin and husband, Grant, Duane Ehko, and Andrew and Anthony Hamilton; four great- grandchildren, Brady, Morgan and Bryce Sigut, and Marley Ervin; and two sisters, Mary Demsey, of Oakmont, and Olga Campbell, of Beaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and sister, John Ruschak and Ann Bell. Friends will be received in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 8, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Zeman of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
