Alice L. Zielensky, 84, of Roscoe, passed peacefully Sunday, July 26, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Grandville, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen Fitzgerald Hannen. She was Protestant by faith, an avid bingo player and she looked forward to trips to Wheeling, Atlantic City, and the Meadows. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Zielensky, of Roscoe, with whom she made her home, and Linda Caruso (Alfred), of Coal Center; three grandchildren, Sam Cupari and Jackie, Angie LeJohn and Jeff, Pete Cupari and Terri; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Cupari, Renah LeJohn and Tanner Cupari; numerous nieces and nephews; her little buddy, Dominnic Fuller; a devoted friend, Nancy Simala; and two sisters, Janet Dolores Scott and Georgeanna Shupenko. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete (Bill) Zielensky; brothers, Kenneth and James Hannen; five sisters, Genevieve Carson, Alma Bova, Iva Goodwell, Jean Sadler, and Olive Hotz. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MELENYZER-DUBARR FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICE, Roscoe (727-938-9323). Funeral service will be Thursday, July 30, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Elder Lawrence King officiating. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
