Albert Hollick

Private services were held Wednesday, September 2, 2009, for Albert Hollick, 90, formerly of Elco, who passed away peacefully on August 31, in Country Care Manor. Born in Elco on August 6, 1919, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Dugan) Hollick. Albert was a World War II veteran who served as a firefighter in the Army Air Corp. He was employed at Irvin Works by General Motors from where he retired. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Margaret Hollick of York; daughter, Sandra Hollick of Perryopolis; grandson, Kevin Hollick; and brother, Robert Hollick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olga, in 2003. Interment was in Charleroi Cemetery.
